Facing Antisemitism with Courage

The Jewish community has long confronted antisemitism — from historical persecution to modern forms of hatred expressed online, on campuses, and in public spaces. In recent years, particularly following the events of October 7, 2023, many American Jews have reported feeling less safe and have adjusted daily behaviors out of concern for their security.

Yet the response has been one of remarkable resilience. Jewish organizations, synagogues, schools, and individuals continue to educate, advocate, build interfaith alliances, and strengthen communal bonds. The New York Jewish community remains a powerful example of continuity, contribution, and quiet determination in the face of adversity.
